I accompany elderly people on outings as they begin to lose independence

Mission description

Escapassions is a service of the Amaelles collective that supports people with slight loss of independence to enjoy adapted leisure activities. The service's philosophy? Just because people need a little help doesn't mean they should be deprived of leisure or outings! The service needs volunteers who will accompany these vulnerable people for a full day or half day so they feel valued, stimulated, and encouraged. We believe that to successfully navigate the challenges life imposes, especially health issues, people must remain supported: this allows them to express themselves, feel heard, realize they are not alone, and think about and do other things rather than let themselves deteriorate.
