I support a caregiver by welcoming their loved one at a respite center

Mission description

Welcome people with cognitive disorders from degenerative diseases like Alzheimer's or Parkinson's, or those recovering from stroke or long COVID. Your role helps relieve exhausted family caregivers by providing 3 hours weekly of respite care, maintaining their loved one's social connection, and offering stimulating activities without performance expectations. You'll work alongside 5 other volunteers, with one volunteer per person attended. Larger volunteer teams allow better rotation and sustainability of the program.
