I relieve a caregiver by welcoming their loved one at a respite center
Familles Rurales - Fédération MarneMission description
Your role is to welcome people with cognitive disorders from degenerative diseases like Alzheimer's or Parkinson's, or stroke and long COVID survivors, to relieve their exhausted family caregiver. Respite sessions aim to provide caregivers 3 hours weekly relief, maintain and develop the person's social connections, and stimulate their loved one without performance expectations. You work alongside 5 other volunteers per session. We welcome maximum 6 people per session, with one volunteer per person. A larger volunteer team enables better rotation and sustainability.
