APALIB'Mission description
Amaelles-Réseau APA fights senior isolation through volunteer visitor-companions. Once a week, a volunteer visits an isolated elderly person at home. Through regular meetings, bonds form and the volunteer brings joy, warmth, and restored self-worth. Usually in the afternoons, weekdays or weekends, these visits are chances to listen, chat, enjoy photo albums, take walks, read, play cards or Scrabble, do puzzles—any way to pass time pleasantly and share life's small joys.
