Mission description

Friendly Educational Support (E.S.A) seeks volunteers to support students whose parents cannot help them. Support includes individualized mentoring (confidence-building, study methods, guidance), broadening the child's horizons, and helping parents engage in their child's education. We need mentors for one hour weekly throughout the school year to help children regain confidence, review basics, and find direction.

Depuis 50 ans, l’E.S.A. et ses bénévoles favorisent la réussite scolaire de tous en accompagnant les enfants que leurs parents ne peuvent ni aider, ni faire aider, faute de connaissances et de moyens financiers. La vocation de l’E.S.A est de lutter contre l’échec scolaire dans un souci d’équité. Notre action s’adresse à des enfants scolarisés du CP à la Terminale. Elle se décline en 3 points : - L’accompagnement individualisé de l’enfant pour lui redonner confiance et le rendre autonome ; - La sensibilisation des parents aux enjeux du travail scolaire ; - L’ouverture sur le monde qui l’entoure grâce à des sorties culturelles. Antennes sur le département : - Andernos, - Bègles, - Bordeaux Centre, - Bordeaux Nord, - Bordeaux Rive droite, - Bordeaux Sud, - Le Bouscat, Eysines, Bruges, Bordeaux Caudéran - Mérignac, - Martignas, Saint-Jean-d'Illac, - Pessac, Cestas, Canéjan, - Saint-Médard-En-Jalles, Le Haillan, - Villenave d'Ornon, Talence, Gradignan, Léognan, La Brède.
