Help during natural disasters (such as floods, forest fires) or industrial accidents (such as factory explosions). Volunteers perform simple tasks to allow rescue workers and firefighters to focus on complex, dangerous, or urgent missions. Possible assignments include welcoming disaster victims at gathering centers, helping alert populations or evacuate neighborhoods, protecting property and people in flood zones, providing psychological support to vulnerable individuals, and monitoring dikes.
