How to publish your volunteering mission on JeVeuxAider — and appear on Bénévole.com
Bénévole.com is connected to JeVeuxAider.gouv.fr
Bénévole.com aggregates missions published on JeVeuxAider.gouv.fr, the national volunteering platform run by the Réserve Civique. In practice, this means that any mission published on JeVeuxAider automatically appears on Bénévole.com — with no extra steps required on your part.
If your association is looking for volunteers, here is how to proceed.
Step 1 — Register your organisation
Check your eligibility
Before you begin, make sure your organisation meets the platform's eligibility criteria: the mission must serve the public interest in a voluntary capacity, must not exceed 24 hours per week, and must not replace a paid position. Donations in kind, paid internships, civic service and skills secondment are excluded.
Create your account
Click "Publish a mission" in the top right of jeveuxaider.gouv.fr. If you already have a personal volunteer account, log out first — organisation and volunteer accounts are separate.
Then select the type of organisation that applies to you and complete the form:
- Official name of your organisation (no acronyms, no project names)
- Your personal details: first name, surname, email, date of birth, password
- Search for your organisation in the existing database by typing the first few letters — if it does not appear, enter the name and add the SIRET or RNA number later
Your account is created with "draft" status.
Complete your profile and accept the charter
Fill in the additional information for your organisation: target audience, description, SIRET, RNA, address, department, affiliated networks. Remember to save after each section.
Read and accept the platform's operating charter.
Wait for validation
Your organisation moves to "awaiting validation" status. A regional coordinator will review your application within an average of 7 to 10 working days. They may contact you by email, phone or internal messaging.
Good to know: you can publish missions before receiving this validation, but volunteers will not yet be able to join them. This is useful for preparing your listings in advance.
Step 2 — Start publishing a mission
In your dashboard, click on the Missions tab then on the "Publish a mission" button in the top right. Accept the platform's operating rules to continue.
Step 3 — Choose the area of action
Select the domain that matches your mission from the categories available: solidarity, environment, education, health, culture, sport, animals, humanitarian, citizenship. You can add a secondary domain later.
Step 4 — Choose the mission format
You have two options:
- Custom mission — you fill in a full form. The mission goes to a coordinator for validation (usual delay: 7 to 10 days).
- Pre-filled mission — template missions that are validated automatically. Useful for getting started quickly, but the content cannot be changed.
For maximum appeal, choose the custom mission.
Step 5 — Write a mission that inspires
This is the most important step. A well-written mission receives far more applications than a vague or poorly structured one.
The title: short and in the first person
Write the title from the volunteer's perspective, in the format Subject – Verb – Object. Under 15 words, with no brackets or unnecessary detail.
Examples:
- "I help isolated elderly people stay connected"
- "I take part in restoring a natural forest space"
- "I support children learning to read"
The description: context first, then concrete details
Structure your description in two parts:
1. Context:
- Why does this mission exist?
- What public interest does it serve?
- What role will the volunteer play in your team?
2. Practical details:
- What tasks will the volunteer carry out day to day?
- What skills or qualities are required?
- Are there any important prerequisites or restrictions?
Use bullet points, bold text and a warm tone. Don't hesitate to mention the atmosphere within your team — volunteers commit to a cause, but also to people.
Format and duration
Specify whether the mission is:
- One-off — a few hours or a few days
- Regular — with a frequency (weekly, monthly) and a minimum commitment period
This information helps volunteers assess whether the mission fits their availability.
Missions open to minors
If you accept volunteers aged 16 to 18, state this explicitly. Specify exact hours, the precise address, and make sure the mission carries no physical risk or situations where the volunteer would be alone with a minor.
Step 6 — Wait for validation (custom missions)
Your mission moves to "awaiting validation" status. A platform coordinator will contact you by email, phone or internal messaging within 7 to 10 days. Once validated, the mission is published and automatically appears on Bénévole.com.
Tips to maximise applications
- Have your mission proofread by someone outside your association before publishing — what they understand immediately, volunteers will too.
- Update your missions regularly to keep them visible in search results.
- Reply quickly to applications: a volunteer who waits several weeks without a response often gives up.
- Use the AI assistant offered by the platform when writing — it can help you rephrase your descriptions.
The result: multiplied visibility
By publishing on JeVeuxAider, your mission is automatically listed on Bénévole.com and appears in searches by town, department and region, as well as in geolocated results when a volunteer searches for a mission near them.
One publication, two platforms, more volunteers.
