Zero Waste Besançon is a local chapter created in 2018 and a member of Zero Waste France (ZWF). Our objective is to encourage waste reduction, raise awareness about the issues surrounding massive waste production, and promote possible alternatives. Concretely, the Zero Waste France association works on three levels: • As an alert mechanism, ZWF highlights the stakes and problems linked to waste management. • On the political level, ZWF intervenes directly with French and European decision-makers to advance legislation in favor of zero waste. • On the ground, ZWF helps local authorities, entrepreneurs, local associations, and citizens with their zero waste and zero waste projects. At the local level, we try to implement these three levels through concrete projects such as the development of a sports recycling center, the introduction of reusable bread bags in bakeries, advocacy with sports event organizers, and more.
