VOIX HAUTE is a nonprofit organization of general interest that develops inclusive reading practices for people who are prevented from reading due to disability or limited access to books. Our objective is to make shared reading a tool for social connection and integration, from infants to centenarians, both at home and in collective settings. Reading aloud provides companionship to isolated individuals, moments of relaxation for the sick, a love of reading to children, and access to literature for those with fewer opportunities. In 2024, the organization intervened in 26 facilities in Moselle (nursing homes, palliative care units, psychiatric hospitals, correctional facilities, medical and social establishments, etc.) and in people's homes, representing 700 reading sessions.
