VMEH (Visiting the Sick in Hospitals and Residents in Care Homes) is a local humanitarian association, recognized as serving the public interest, apolitical and non-denominational. We operate in hospitals and care homes. Our missions: - To provide friendly and warm presence through regular visits. - To reduce the isolation of people cut off from their usual living environment. - To restore confidence and hope to those who feel marginalized by society. - To entertain by offering activities. Our beneficiaries: - Elderly people in care homes or retirement homes - People with disabilities - Hospitalized children and adults Additionally, we work in the distribution of books and magazines as part of our library at Bel Air. Over 200 years of history: - 1801: Mme De Saisseval laid the foundations of the OVMH (Work of Visiting the Sick in Hospitals). - 1933: Accredited by the Paris Public Assistance - 1901 Law. - 1953: The association expanded and became apolitical and non-denominational. It takes the name VMEH (Visiting the Sick in Hospital Facilities). - 1966: Creation of the "National Liaison Centre" to coordinate all departmental associations.
