At the heart of Pau, the Museum of Resistance and Deportation of the 64 brings to life the local history of the Second World War through objects, accounts, and testimonies. It highlights the stories of men and women from the region who fought, resisted, helped, and hid others, sometimes at the risk of their own lives. The museum also pays tribute to the victims of Deportation and Internment and actively works to pass on this memory to younger generations. A place of remembrance and education, it welcomes school groups and visitors each year who wish to understand our local history. Our motto: NEITHER HATRED NOR OBLIVION.
