This union is a member of the National Federation of DDENs. To be a DDEN and defend public education. Appointed by the Inspector of Education, DDENs are tasked with school inspection missions and ensure good living conditions for children at school and in its surroundings. As volunteers, DDENs are partners of public education and actively participate in promoting education, the interests of children, and republican principles such as citizenship and secularism. Their role, which was updated by a decree in 1986, covers various aspects such as safety, school meals, transportation, and extracurricular activities, without intervening in pedagogy, a field reserved for teachers. DDENs also act as mediators between teachers, parents, and municipal authorities, thereby contributing to a harmonious and effective educational environment.
