The UDAF of Vienne, an institution committed to and for families since 1945, is the expert on family living realities. Recognized as being in the public interest, it is the official spokesperson for families with public authorities. It represents and supports the 121,000 families living in the Vienne department and defends their interests. Pluralistic in nature, it brings together and coordinates a network of over 80 family associations of great diversity. It carries out representation missions within departmental bodies and commissions and also provides services to families in the areas of legal protection of adults, mental disability, child protection, and social support for families. Nearly 2,900 people are supported each year by our services, which employ 150 staff members in total.
