Trisomie 21 Meurthe-et-Moselle

1 mission available

The TRISOMIE 21 Meurthe-et-Moselle association aims to promote and advocate for the recognition and inclusion, autonomy and self-determination of people with Down syndrome and more broadly people with intellectual disabilities, at all stages of life, in all places and in all situations. For around forty years, the association has developed a series of projects in favor of the inclusion of these people (from school to daily life, including work). In terms of information, in addition to welcoming new parents, it works with professional audiences in medical, paramedical and non-profit sectors, as well as the general public. In terms of activities, it offers daily adapted sports activities and sports outings. It regularly stages performances of physical expression featuring people with Down syndrome. Finally, it organizes an event each year on the occasion of National Down Syndrome Day, based on delivering breakfasts to people's homes to raise awareness of its work and to fund the activities it offers.
