Toulouse en Transition is part of the Transition Towns movement, initiated in Great Britain in 2006 by Rob Hopkins. The Toulouse transition initiative launched on November 24, 2010, at the Sénéchal hall, where we presented the film "In Transition 2.0". Following this evening which brought together over 200 people, approximately 80 people registered to participate in the working group: how to lead the transition in Toulouse? Through the implementation of concrete and collective actions, the association seeks to: "Raise awareness, exchange ideas, and mobilize the enthusiasm, creativity and skills of each person through concrete actions to co-create a city more resilient to climate and oil challenges." Since its creation, the association and the actions it undertakes evolve based on the aspirations of its members, such as: repair cafés, free zones, film screenings with debates, open evenings, DIY workshops, awareness-raising stands, forum theatre, greening initiatives (wherever possible!), interventions in schools, disco-soups, litter cleanups, plant swaps, activities (treasure hunts, commitment wall, games and workshops around transition)…
