TA1AMI - TU AS UN AMI

With a network of over 500 volunteers, the association TA1AMI - YOU HAVE A FRIEND creates friendship pairings between an isolated person, regardless of age, disability, or background, and a volunteer Friend. Because everyone needs a Friend... Founded in Lille in 2014 and present in over 40 cities in the Hauts-de-France region, TA1AMI continues to expand. Breaking isolation through friendship means putting friendship at the heart of human relationships. It also means changing the current world, which counts more than 7 million isolated people in France. TA1AMI's areas of intervention are: 1 - Within nursing homes, medical centers, hospitals, and home visits, to support people of all ages (from 18 years old to over 100) suffering from isolation and sometimes disabilities. After training, the volunteer Friend visits the isolated person at least once a week (reading, current events, various conversations, outings, etc.) to restore their confidence and bring them joy. 2 - In Social Centers to support isolated children aged 5 to 10 experiencing significant school difficulties.
