The SPA of Dole and its region is an independent association that manages the Violettes shelter, a refuge dedicated to welcoming dogs and cats. Located a few kilometers from Dole, between Biarne and Sampans, the shelter was built in 2012. It has a capacity of 60 cats and 47 dogs. We also occasionally welcome exotic pets. We are looking for motivated and committed volunteers to care for our protected animals. The missions are varied and everyone can find their place within the shelter: help with cleaning in the morning, dog walks and cat socialization in the afternoon, repairs or maintenance of outdoor areas. We also need volunteers to conduct investigations following reports of animal abuse as well as post-adoption checks. We are also looking for foster families, particularly for kittens, to provide them with a warm environment while they await adoption. You can also support us by participating in the various events and activities organized by the shelter. Finally, we need people willing to invest in trapping and feeding stray cats. As you can see, the missions are numerous and varied: there is definitely a way to help that suits you.
