Secours catholique Nord Lille

Catholic Relief carries out various missions: to manifest Christian charity through the implementation of concrete solidarity among all people, in France and throughout the world; to stand alongside men, women and children living in situations of poverty, who are the primary agents of their own development, in order to combat the causes of poverty and exclusion and to promote the development of the human person in all its dimensions; to seek active partnership with organizations that share its objectives in order to promote social justice within local, national and international policies; to invite each person to reach out to the poorest, to listen to them, to support them and to join with them in building together a just and fraternal society. To carry out these missions, Catholic Relief relies on six core principles of action: to promote the voice and agency of people living in situations of poverty; to empower each person to be an agent of their own development; to partner with people living in situations of poverty; to act for the development of the human person in all its dimensions; to address the causes of poverty and exclusion; to awaken solidarity.
