The Scouts and Guides of France are a Catholic popular education movement aimed at training active citizens who are happy and peacemakers. It relies on a pedagogy of play, projects, teamwork, and life in nature. It thus offers young girls and boys a living space that meets their need to dream, to act, to achieve their projects, to live in community, and to give meaning to their lives. Open to all and recognized as being in the public interest, the association has been approved by the Ministry responsible for youth for 50 years and is thus one of the 10 scouting associations recognized by the State. The association is part of a worldwide network of 62 million young people present in 220 countries. It is a member of the French Scouting Federation, which brings together 5 other member associations.
