Scouts and Guides of France aims to develop active, happy citizens and peacemakers. They rely on a pedagogy based on play, projects, teamwork, and life in nature. They thus offer young girls and boys a living space that meets their need to dream, to take action, to achieve their projects, to live in community, and to give meaning to their lives. The Scouts and Guides of France association is a popular education organization recognized as being in the public interest, with 96,000 members including 29,000 volunteers and 140 employees in France. Open to all and recognized as being in the public interest, the association is accredited for Youth and Popular Education by the Ministry responsible for youth affairs.
