The Scouts and Guides of France is a youth and popular education movement recognized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, whose mission is to support young people aged 6 to 17 in becoming active, useful and happy citizens by developing their physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potential to the fullest. Scouting pedagogy is based on education through play and respect for nature, and offers young people the opportunity to discover the Gospel, even though the movement is open to all regardless of their beliefs. Scouting seeks to transmit values to young people: respect, solidarity, loyalty, justice, self-confidence, responsibility, determination, tolerance, creativity and autonomy.
