The Scouts and Guides of France aim to train active, happy citizens and architects of peace. They rely on a pedagogy of play, projects, teamwork, and life in nature. They thus offer young women and men a living space that responds to their need to dream, to act, to succeed in their projects, to live in community, and to give meaning to their lives. The Scouts and Guides of France association is a popular education association recognized as being in the public interest, with 96,000 members including 29,000 volunteers and 140 employees in France. Open to all and recognized as being in the public interest, the association is accredited for Youth and Popular Education by the Ministry responsible for youth.
