The Relais Enfants-Parents in the Lyon region is an association that, relying on its volunteers, works to support, strengthen, and where necessary, create or restore the bond between a child and their incarcerated parent. Active within 6 prisons in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region: Lyon-Corbas (69), Villefranche-sur-Saône (69), Bourg-en-Bresse (01), Valence (26), Saint-Quentin-Fallavier (38), Roanne (42), Aiton (73), the REP in the Lyon region assists children aged 0 to 18 so they can maintain regular contact with their incarcerated parent, under the best possible conditions of emotional, educational, and psychological security. Guided by the best interests of the child, it serves all families in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region regardless of their origin, religion, social situation, or the circumstances that led to a parent's imprisonment. It intervenes at the request of the incarcerated parent, another family member, the judge for family affairs, the judge for children, or a child in distress. No financial contribution is required from families, and the REP works in partnership with the prison administration.
