PROTECTION CIVILE DES ALPES-MARITIMES

With 32,000 volunteers, Civil Protection is one of the largest associations recognized by Civil Security and has been since 1965. It provides civil security missions, solidarity and social aid and is accredited to provide first aid training. In the Alpes-Maritimes, it has 9 local branches with 250 volunteers. One of Civil Protection's missions is to raise awareness and train citizens in life-saving practices across the entire French territory. Following the 2016 national cause "Adopt Life-Saving Behaviors", the population benefits from the "Life-Saving Gestures (GQS)" training. This training lasts two hours. Civil Protection's other major mission is to help and rescue our fellow citizens in urgent distress. In this framework, it puts in place preventive rescue systems and population assistance teams. Social emergency is also part of its missions.
