A non-profit association under French law (loi 1901) recognised by Civil Protection, Civil Protection intervenes in missions of assistance to populations, rescue and training. Linked to the National Federation, the Civil Protection Association of Charente-Maritime (APC 17), with its over 50 years of experience, operates throughout the department with the help of its 120 volunteers.
