An emblematic part of the fort is labeled by the Fondation du Patrimoine. The association aims to manage the contemporary development of Fort de Leynhac, a unique and remarkable site in Cantal. It is the only fort in Cantal that remains standing, inhabited and maintained. The association's purpose is to oversee the image conveyed by any private individual or local authority, and thus promote the fort to the public through the organization of events, lectures, and exhibitions in private areas, thereby generating economic benefits for accommodation providers, restaurants (non-exhaustive list). This project falls within the broader theme of heritage protection and preservation committees.
