PGAC was created in 2002 from the merger of the Guérande athletic club Saint-Aubin de Guérande (S.A.G.) and the Baulois club Athletic Sports Association Bauloise (A.S.A.B.), bringing together athletes from the peninsula at the Moreau-Defarges stadium in La Baule, equipped with a synthetic track, and the Brétécher complex in Herbignac. The club is dedicated to promoting athletics at the intercommunal level and aims to become the leading club in the CAP Atlantique territory, which comprises 22 municipalities.
