Nantes en Compagnie is a service to combat isolation among seniors aged 65 and over in Nantes, jointly run by three associations: ORPAN, the association of Nantes seniors, the Little Brothers of the Poor, and Benenova Nantes. The service promotes mobility and social participation among seniors through a mobile application and volunteers who accompany them on outings on foot or by public transport: a walk with Colette, an afternoon snack with Maurice, a film with Fatima, or a helping hand to accompany Khalil to a medical appointment. It is a simple way to break isolation, create intergenerational connections, and maintain involvement in one's neighbourhood. ORPAN, which leads the Nantes en Compagnie project, is the association of Nantes seniors. It acts and mobilises for and with Nantes seniors. As a partner of the City of Nantes in addressing senior populations, ORPAN and its team of 14 employees work daily, provide support, and experiment with new responses to the specific needs of today's and tomorrow's seniors. ORPAN, the association of Nantes seniors, develops thematic actions and activities across the city and also offers local programming tailored to the realities and needs…
