The Observatoire de la Laïcité de Provence (OLPA) is an educational and cultural non-profit association whose primary mission is to promote secularism. To achieve this, it relies on volunteers who conduct interventions in schools, social centers, and with the public in partnership with local municipalities. Its activities primarily cover the Bouches-du-Rhône and Vaucluse departments, with specific operations in Marseille and Aix. Secularism is often misunderstood. While it is a law of freedom, it is caricatured as a law that restricts citizens' rights. It is essential to increase awareness and understanding of it. To this end, interventions with children and adults constitute key moments of exchange at the heart of civic education. To respond to requests for "awareness-raising, information, activities, and training" from municipalities and institutions, OLPA needs to strengthen its volunteer team. These volunteers will receive training in the association's pedagogical tools and communication methods.
