Who are we? Montpellier Zero Waste is a non-profit association established in August 2017. It brings together committed and volunteer citizens who wish to take action for waste reduction and to promote the Zero Waste movement. Montpellier Zero Waste is a local group of the national association Zero Waste France (formerly the CNIID), founded over 20 years ago and working for environmental protection by advocating for waste reduction at the source and more sustainable waste management. Our objectives: • Promote the Zero Waste approach in Montpellier and its region • Raise awareness about waste issues and environmental preservation • Take action to prevent and reduce at the source the quantity and toxicity of all types of waste • Educate about waste reduction, recycling, and composting • Campaign for the elimination of non-recyclable waste
