Present across the entire national territory with more than 6,800 sites, the 436 local missions carry out a public service mission at the local level to enable all young people aged 16 to 25 to overcome difficulties that hinder their professional and social integration. 1.1 million young people are supported each year by the local missions. Nearly 13,600 professionals assist them in their job search. Local missions are part of the public employment service. They rely on programs implemented by the State and local authorities. For more than thirty years, local missions have developed comprehensive support for young people. They address all integration difficulties: employment, training, guidance, mobility, housing, health, access to culture and leisure. This comprehensive approach is the most effective way to remove obstacles to employment and active participation in society.
