METABATIK has been working since 2019 to develop the construction materials reuse sector in Auvergne in order to reduce waste from the building industry and preserve natural resources. METABATIK thus promotes circular economy and responsible consumption (creation of local jobs, solidarity pricing, reduction in carbon emissions). The organization operates around three main activities: - Collection/sales: collecting materials with strong reuse potential from deconstruction or renovation projects by construction professionals (from careful removal, through collection, valorization and redistribution at solidarity pricing of reused materials). - Advisory: supporting project managers and project owners in their reuse initiatives (from resource diagnostics to reuse monitoring throughout the project). - Training and awareness: training professionals in reuse in (de)construction and raising awareness among all audiences about waste reduction in building through the reuse approach. The materials library is open Wednesdays and Fridays from 09:00 to 13:00 and Saturdays from 09:00 to 12:00.
