Our objective: to support unaccompanied minors on the streets by providing help with housing, food, and integration activities in France (such as schooling or sports and cultural activities). 'URM' (Unaccompanied Refugee Minors) are migrants arriving alone in French territory after often very difficult migration journeys. Some of them are not immediately recognized as minors upon arrival (due to lack of space or lack of documents proving their identity) and are therefore not taken in by the department as those recognized on arrival are. They have no access to any services and end up on the street. We support them throughout their legal proceedings (their lawyers petition the juvenile judge). This process can last a year, and during that time we help them survive and integrate in France. We open homes so young people can live in shared housing with volunteer support. By participating in our activities, you will be in contact with motivated, committed, hopeful young people. Involvement can take several forms: tutoring, help with shopping and household management, support with association communication and fundraising...
