The Maison du Pays de Lessay association was created in 1994 on the initiative of elected officials, social workers from the MSA, the CAF, volunteers from local associations, and residents of the area. This organization was accredited as a "Social Centre" by the CAF and MSA in 1995 and fulfills the following four essential missions: 1. To be a neighbourhood facility with a broad social mission, open to all people living nearby, offering welcome, activities, programs and services with a social purpose; 2. To be a facility with a family and multigenerational focus, serving as a meeting place and space for exchange between generations, while promoting the development of family and social bonds; 3. To be a hub for social life animation, taking into account the needs and initiatives expressed by users and residents, and fostering the development of community associations; 4. To be a place of coordinated and innovative social intervention.
