Maison des Cultures

Maison des Cultures aims to support people made vulnerable by age or disability. Through the creation of shared housing and actions to foster meetings, sharing and mutual aid. Being a volunteer at Maison des Cultures means discovering an alternative model to traditional nursing homes or conventional facilities. It means having a different perspective on aging or difference. It means taking part in activities, outings, and creating a privileged bond with the people involved. It also means helping Maison des Cultures continue its activities through skills-based volunteering (communication, administration, etc.). Maison des Cultures created the first shared and supported housing dedicated to people with Alzheimer's disease in Seine-et-Marne. A human-scaled living space in which each person is supported while maintaining their living habits and life projects, with and despite the disease. You will work within a small cooperative, rooted in its community, in which each person's contribution is visible and participates in the development of our activities.
