Founded in 2016, Limbo is a recognized non-profit organization of general interest that supports exiled persons, survivors of human trafficking and torture in their reconstruction. Our actions are aimed at exiled people from sub-Saharan Africa who have survived human trafficking and torture camps in Libya. All of them suffer from severe trauma. This mission is developed along three axes: - A reconstruction action on the ground, aimed at survivors, weekly artistic mediation workshops, cultural outings and monthly discussion circles. Our actions make it possible to support, in depth and over time, 80 beneficiaries per year. - An awareness-raising action towards the general public, in order to inform and alert about the reality of exile, psychotrauma, and torture camps in Libya. - An advocacy action with public institutions, to have the status of torture camp survivors recognized and to implement the means necessary for dignified reception.
