An association fighting against racism and antisemitism, LICRA pursues its missions in the name of the principles set forth in the Declarations of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen of 1789 and 1793 and in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948. It places these principles above all partisan considerations, independently of any political party or religious organization. It carries out its actions in France and abroad through sections whose volunteers are essential links. The Association campaigns for equality of rights among human beings, works toward bringing peoples closer together, and acts in favor of respecting and promoting republican principles of liberty, equality and fraternity and secularism. It is through intervening with public authorities, alerting public opinion and the media, providing aid and support to victims, and participating in the civic education of young people in particular that it seeks to keep its networks alive.
