Founded in 2017, Les Cols Verts Rennes is part of a network of the same name that brings together several organizations sharing the same values. It operates through a participatory approach on the Rennes territory. Specifically, it has established an urban micro farm in the Blosne neighborhood called the Potager des Cultures. Co-created with stakeholders, this space is built on the idea that everyone has a role to play in ecological and food transition. By reconnecting with nature and contributing to the neighborhood's vitality through this collective space, residents can become aware of current issues and take action for the future. In practice, the Potager des Cultures is run by a market gardener supported by volunteers and residents. The space is dedicated to discovery and learning, as numerous groups—both adults and children—are welcomed each year, while production is devoted to people in precarious situations, isolated individuals, and those seeking solutions. Since transition is everyone's responsibility, the association develops production and educational activities throughout the Rennes territory to offer a comprehensive approach that reaches the entire population.
