The Friends of the Earth Association, Drôme, through its actions aims to build a world in which: - the fundamental human needs (namely access, in sufficient quality and quantity, to air, water, food, energy, housing, health, education, information and culture) of all are met, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs; - access to and sharing of natural resources are equitable; the right of each person to live (and to work) in a healthy environment and the duty to preserve it are respected, as well as life in all its forms; - all actively participate as citizens in shaping a society based on democratic principles; decisions affecting our present, our future and that of our children, in particular those relating to our environment, our consumption and the use of technologies that may present risks, must be made in consultation with all citizens; the principles of precaution and participation must prevail.
