Catholic Relief of Vienne and Deux-Sèvres have been grouped together since 2014 and form the Poitou delegation. "Founded on the Gospel, the mission of Catholic Relief Caritas France is a mission of love and awakening to solidarity, in France and throughout the world". A charitable work of the Diocese of Poitiers, its mission is recognized as being in the public interest and is part of the fight against precarity and for living together. 1,092 volunteers distributed across the entire delegation, within 78 local and thematic teams (international solidarity, prison, training, search for meaning, etc.) fight daily against misery and exclusion. In 2022, volunteers met and welcomed more than 6,000 people and/or families. They work with them to help them regain dignified living conditions: meet basic needs (welcome and listening, food assistance, clothing, financial support), support towards social integration (solidarity grocery store, solidarity shop, solidarity hair salon, postal address registration, microcredit, literacy training, etc.), access to vacations (assistance for children's and families' holidays), combat isolation (social groups, solidarity gardens, mobility service,…
