The Le Peuplier association is volunteering to carry forward a project to open a multidisciplinary health center in Pont de Claix, in a priority neighborhood of the Grenoble metropolitan area, that embodies a comprehensive, political and social vision of health. The future center will feature: • unconditional welcome for all users • promotion of efforts to combat health inequalities and discrimination • involvement and empowerment of individuals for their own health, aiming toward individual and collective emancipation and strengthening of their capacity to act • collective health actions, prevention and health promotion • partnership work with local stakeholders • an organization based on a horizontal, self-managed model We are currently a team of 6 volunteers (general practitioner, welcoming coordinators, speech therapist, psychologist, project development volunteer). We are finalizing the financial and real estate arrangements to anticipate our future organization and to be able to begin rehabilitation work in an identified space belonging to the municipality.
