Digital technology is part of the daily life of almost all French people: 98% of those aged 12 and over own a mobile phone, one in two people now uses AI, and we spend several hours each day in front of our screens. Digital is everywhere. And the more it takes over our lives…the less we understand it. Do we simply want to adapt to digital technology, or decide what place it occupies in our lives? 👉 This is precisely where Latitudes comes in, by digging beneath the surface of digital technology to allow everyone to choose how to use it. 👉 We want to explore what lies beneath the screens: to unveil its different layers, understand how the services we use work, what choices they involve and what effects they actually produce. With one foot in tech and one foot on the ground, we look at the shadows and light of the technological promise without letting ourselves be blinded. 👉 We want to put technology back in its rightful place: as a tool we choose consciously. The challenge for tomorrow is not to turn off the screens, but to turn everything else back on, and to take back control over the place digital technology occupies in our lives and in society.
