La Ressourcerie du plateau de Saclay

Opened in March 2025, the Saclay Plateau resource center aims to combat waste by offering an alternative to buying new items. It does this by collecting second-hand objects, enhancing their value, promoting their reuse, and selling them at reasonable prices. Initiated by SIOM and supported by the social enterprise Re-Saclay, the resource center pursues a social mission by recruiting and training people far removed from employment, helping them move toward future careers in the environmental sector. Through its commitment, the resource center also plays a role in raising public awareness about environmental issues. Thus, employees, users, and volunteers all have an essential role to play in this collective and human project, making it a genuine local catalyst for ecological transition.
