The Pive Association is a citizen-led project that has shed light on a tool for mobilizing local development. Pive is a complementary and civic currency used alongside the euro to strengthen economic ties as well as connections between people within their territory. By refocusing currency on its original exchange function, Pive empowers citizens to take action, stimulates the economy of the Comté region, and restores meaning to purchasing decisions by supporting the transition toward a more sustainable society model. Pive currency exists in both paper and digital form through the App'Pive application. Today, Pive has approximately 800 individual members, 330 shops, businesses and associations supporting the project and circulating nearly 200,000 pives in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Join the movement and discover the benefits of your local currency—one that acts positively for others and for you!
