La Maison de Sébastien (LMDS) is a nonprofit association registered under French law 1901 and recognized as being of public interest, which aims to reduce inequalities in access to education for autistic children. Its mission is based on five key values: Solidarity, Inclusion, Education, Sharing, and the Well-being of children and families. Faced with a lack of specialized facilities in France, LMDS was created to offer children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDD), particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and their families, intensive educational programs that are scientifically validated and recommended by the French Health Authority, but rarely offered by institutions. Other initiatives have followed, including "Sébastien's Café" to support parental distress, the "Butterfly" project for computerized therapy monitoring, and a shared housing project for adults with ASD, currently in the process of seeking funding.
