La Gonette is the Citizen Local Currency of the Lyon region. Like more than 80 other local currencies in France, La Gonette places citizens at the heart of monetary issues. The project aims to put this currency at the service of the general interest and the needs of the Lyon territory. Accepted by more than 400 committed local organizations, La Gonette allows people to question monetary issues and take concrete action for responsible consumption. It also fulfills a popular education role by shedding light on seemingly complex questions about how the economy functions and its relationship with finance. Join our volunteer team now, a community of more than thirty motivated people working to support the local economy and ecological and social transition.
