The Gentiane is a complementary and civic local currency in the Annecy basin. The association is a civic project created in 2018. This currency makes it possible to strengthen the local economy, promote ethical, local and quality businesses and services, prevent financial speculation and foster ecological and social transition. Today 82 local currencies exist in France, they are legal and regulated by the Social and Solidarity Economy law of July 2014.
