France Alzheimer and Related Diseases is an association whose main missions are: Supporting people with illness and their families: * Inform and raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease and related diseases. * Listen to and support people with illness and their families. * Train family and professional caregivers. * Provide home-based or facility-based support and assistance services. Supporting research: * Finance research projects on Alzheimer's disease and related diseases. * Disseminate scientific information to the general public and professionals. Defending the rights of people with illness: * Ensure that Alzheimer's disease is recognized as a serious and disabling disease. * Combat stigmatization of people with illness and their families. * Defend the interests of people with illness to public authorities. France Alzheimer is a national association comprising nearly 110 associations distributed across the entire French territory. The association is accredited by the Ministry of Solidarity and Health and is a member of Alzheimer Europe Federation.
