As the leading organization for charitable giving in support of heritage, the Heritage Foundation was created by the law of July 2, 1996 and recognized as serving the public interest by a decree of April 18, 1997. Organized around its 21 regional delegations, it bases its work on a network of more than 1,000 volunteer delegates who work daily to preserve this local heritage. In Brittany, our 65 volunteers supported by 4 staff members work in each of the Breton departments to safeguard and enhance heritage in the territories. For nearly 30 years, more than 2,000 heritage preservation projects have been saved in Brittany, including churches, chapels, farmhouses, wash houses, theaters, as well as our natural heritage and biodiversity.
