We are a canine unit team currently composed of 6 handler/dog teams. We train our dogs to search for missing persons. Training consists of laying scent trails (the volunteer hides) and sending a dog and its handler to track the trail in order to find the hidden person. We need help following our teams on the trail to ensure the exercise is conducted safely, as well as to lay the scent trails. The role of the trail layer is essential for this work. Our training sessions last approximately 3 hours on Saturdays. The objective is for each dog to become operational and capable of performing real search missions. We are counting on you!
